Cloud Migration Waves — Rehost & Replatform

Plan the wave. Cut over safely. Land in operations.

Jiva Technologies plans and executes cloud migration waves — landing-zone integration, rehost and replatform execution, data replication, cutover, rollback and hypercare — as a single delivery engagement across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.

Wave Planning
Dependency-based move groups

Applications grouped by dependency, blast radius and business-change constraints, not alphabetical order.

Execution
Tested cutover & rollback

Every wave is dress-rehearsed with documented rollback criteria before production cutover.

Post-Migration
Hypercare & handover

Structured hypercare and knowledge transfer to the run team under the agreed support scope.

What we deliver

  1. Landing Zone, Identity & Network Integration

Extend or stand up landing zones on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud with hub-and-spoke or transit architectures, hybrid connectivity via site-to-site VPN, AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute or Google Cloud Interconnect, identity federation and DNS integration.

  2. Rehost (Lift-and-Shift) Migration

Replication-based rehost of virtual machines and applications to cloud compute using platform-native tooling and third-party replication — preserving the runtime stack and shortening the path off legacy infrastructure.

  3. Replatform Migration

Targeted platform changes during migration — moving databases to managed engines, replacing file shares with managed storage, and packaging suitable workloads into containers — where the change pays back inside the operating horizon.

  4. Data Replication & Synchronization

Change Data Capture, block-level replication, storage snapshots and file-sync pipelines to move data alongside applications with minimized downtime and validated data integrity.

  5. Cutover, Validation & Rollback

Dependency-based move groups, cutover runbooks, dress-rehearsal in a staging landing zone, smoke and performance tests, and documented rollback criteria for every wave.

  6. Hypercare & Operational Handover

Post-cutover hypercare, defect triage, monitoring tuning, right-sizing and knowledge transfer to the run team — completed under the agreed scope before the wave is signed off.

Signals we hear

Why teams call us

4 recurring gaps
  • Every migration treated as lift-and-shift

Blanket rehost misses opportunities where a small replatform change removes ongoing licensing, backup or scaling cost.

  • Cutovers without a rehearsed rollback

Waves scheduled without validated rollback criteria create high-impact outage risk and stalled programs.

  • Landing zone gaps discovered mid-wave

Missing guardrails, network routing or identity trust surface during cutover rather than during planning, forcing schedule slip.

  • No structured hypercare after go-live

Applications go into production before monitoring, right-sizing and run-team handover are complete, leading to preventable incidents.

How we engage

Our approach

A wave lifecycle that turns each disposition decision into a rehearsed, executable cutover with documented rollback and a controlled handover to operations.

  1. Assess

Confirm workload disposition, dependencies, cutover constraints and data-movement approach for the next wave.

  2. Design

Wave design covering landing-zone target, network and identity integration, data replication pattern and cutover runbook.

  3. Migrate

Execute the wave — replicate, cut over, validate against runbooks and invoke rollback criteria where required.

  4. Operate & Optimize

Hypercare, right-sizing, reserved-capacity or commitment sign-up and handover to the operational run team under the agreed support scope.

Fix What's Broken — Remediation Sprints

Migration stuck mid-wave, workloads over-provisioned in cloud, DevOps pipelines flaky, or FinOps spend running away? We run fixed-scope remediation sprints against a defined cloud outcome — no open-ended consulting hours.

  • Landing-zone, IAM and network baseline fixes; migration wave unblocking
  • Right-sizing, reserved/savings-plan coverage and FinOps waste elimination
  • CI/CD pipeline hardening, IaC drift correction and release-process cleanup

Support & Maintenance — AMC-Backed

Keep cloud estates efficient and reliable after migration — cost governance, platform hygiene and vendor escalation under a Jiva managed cloud service.

  • Managed cloud operations across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud with SLAs
  • Continuous FinOps: budget alerts, right-sizing and commitment management
  • Patching, backup verification, IaC/DevOps pipeline care and quarterly reviews
